WITS: Web Interface for Telescience

The Web Interface for Telescience has been developed to provide Internet-based ground operations for planetary lander and rover missions. It enables mission scientists at their home institutions to view downlink science data, plan command sequences, and visualize the simulated execution in 3D. WITS is co-developed by IA Tech and JPL and was used for the Mars Polar Lander Mission for generation of command sequences for Robotic Arm and Robotic Arm Camera. A Public Version of WITS is available and further information can be found at the JPL WITS website at http://wits.jpl.nasa.gov/.
